Social Justice
Education Committee
Sandy Merrell
The mission of the committee is to inform ourselves and our sister Hibernians on political and social justice issues related to our Catholic values and Irish heritage through research, outreach and communication with other Hibernians, social justice groups and Irish- American groups. The committee will also seek to educate state and federal officials, through written correspondence, emails and phone calls and visits, of LAOH positions on issues related to our Catholic values and Irish Heritage. The overarching goal of the Committee is to help give our organization a greater presence and to create interest from younger women in the LAOH.
