Examine the role of the Irish in the American Revolution. How did their contributions—both on the battlefield and in other aspects of the revolution—help shape the outcome of the conflict?

The 2024-2025 LAOH Irish History Contest is now CLOSED.
Thank you to all those that submitted essays for consideration and thank you to all members/officers who promoted participation in the contest. All essays are currently in the judging phase of the process. Winners will be announced by 3/31/25.
There were 20 essays for Level 1 (Grades 6, 7, & 8).
There were 18 essays for Level 2 (Grades 9, 10, 11, & 12).
